UHS Swim Team Competes at the Alamo Area HS Swim League Fall Invitational...

Uvalde High School Swim Team competed in on of the largest events this season, The Alamo Area High School Swim League Fall Invitational, held at Palo Alto College in San Antonio on Friday, November 17, 2017. Swim team members Abby Carnes, Miguel Morales, Nico Salazar, Alaina Sosa, George Garza, George Alamillo and Delicia Campos represented Uvalde at their third swim meet of the season led by Coach Lauren DOrazio.

Abby Carnes competed in the women's 100 yard freestyle and finished with an overall time of 1:23.53. Delicia Campos competed in the women's 100 yard freestyle and finished with an overall time of 1:27.18. Campos also competed in the women's 50 yard freestyle with a seed time of 37.49 and finished with an overall time of 37.32. Alaina Sosa also competed in the women's 50 yard freestyle and started with a seed time of 36.53 and she finished with an overall time of 35.94. Miguel Morales competed in the men's 100 yard freestyle with a seed time of 1:09.38 and finished with an overall time of 1:07.48. Nico Salazar also competed in the men's 100 yard freestyle and finished with an overall time of 1:13.11 and George Alamillo finished in the men's 100 yard freestyle with an overall time of 1:13.71. George Garza competed in the men's 50 yard freestyle and finished with an overall time of 39.41. 

The next meet will be on December 16, 2017 at the Northside ISD Aquatic Complex.
